Description
For over 300 years, Trinity Church has been a significant part of New York City’s rich history. An active Episcopal Parish, the first building was erected at the head of Wall Street in 1697. Destroyed by fire during the Revolutionary War in 1776, a second building was built in 1790, but was demolished in 1838 due to severe structural issues. The current building was finished in 1846 and is one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the United States.
