Description
The 7,100-pound bronze sculpture by famed artist Arturo Di Modica depicts a bull—a symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity—a favorite Wall Street icon symbolizing Wall Street and the Financial District of New York City. Di Modica unofficially installed it in front of the New York Stock Exchange in 1989 as a gift to New Yorkers. Initially impounded, a public outcry led to it’s reinstallation two blocks away.
