Artist's Description
The crown jewel of Chicago - Buckingham Fountain is situated at the heart of Grant Park along Chicago's beautiful lakefront. In operation since its dedication in 1927, the fountain was a gift to the city by the late philanthropist Kate Buckingham. Inspired by the Latona Fountain at Versailles, the fountain sprays 14,000 gallons of water every minute through 193 jets, with the center jet reaching a magnificent height of 150 feet.
