Description
The Chicago Water Tower is one of the few remaining structures to survive the great Chicago fire of 1871. Hidden within the tall castle tower is a 138-foot standpipe used to help regulate water pressure in the city. Also seen is the 100-story John Hancock Center – home to offices, condominiums, and a restaurant on the 95th floor.
