Description
Characteristic of the Door County coast, grand limestone outcroppings provide bookends to many peaceful bays dotting the 300 miles of shoreline. Formed from sedimentary rock and part of the Niagara Escarpment - which includes the cliff over which Niagara Falls plunges - these bluffs have eroded to form soft, rolling edges along the waters surrounding the Door peninsula.
